The Hidden Beauty of Home is a blog about discovering the sacred calling of home--through living out Biblical  womanhood, motherhood, homemaking and homeschooling. Women today have been convinced that life at home isn't enough. Women are looking outside the home for fulfillment--in their jobs, in their friends or in their hobbies. But the Bible paints a completely different picture of the abundant life.

In Proverbs 31: 26--29 we read about a Godly woman:

26 She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
This blog is a place where I share what I am learning as a wife, a mother, a homeschooler, a foster and adoptive parent and Christian woman. If any of those things resonate with you, stick around; you may find something interesting here. You may also be interested in my other blog, My Two Happy Homeschoolers, which is now inactive, but has several hundred articles about homeschooling, parenting, and raising special needs children.

The other day I read an article entitled, "How to Write a Killer About Me Page". One of the critical aspects of a great about me page is apparently utilizing links to articles within your blog in order to give the visitor a better feel for the kinds of things you write about. Ironically, most people write their "about me" page long before they have any articles to link to. So for now, this humble page will have to do its' job without any internal links. As my content grows, I will provide more links on this page for your perusal. I hope you enjoy your time here at The Hidden Beauty of Home!
